Our dispatch representatives receive and documents complete and accurate order information from customers to maximize service while minimizing non-productive time of equipment and personnel. Responsible for addressing problems and dispatching appropriate team members when support is needed.

Responsible for:
- Receive feedback from customers and accurately coordinate operations of internal resources and vehicles to accommodate.
- Answers the phone and take or modify customer's orders. Ensuring all required information is filled in.
- Effectively communicate all relevant company policies such as Will Calls, additional products over amount ordered, towing charges and our drivers' responsibilities to the customer.
- Reaches consensus with the customer concerning actions to be taken regarding policies.
- Proactively probes the customer for information and upcoming orders for forecasting.
- Informs the customer of warnings concerning product hazards, load limits, vehicle weights and limitations.
- Properly files the order with the Central Dispatch Manager
- Inform the Central Dispatch Manager of special instructions and give adequate notice to ensure proper materials are available.
- Sells the customer on the most advantageous job start times to maintain a "flat" truck demand graph to minimize the trucks and drivers called to work.
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with customers or employees who may be in stressful situations.
- Team player and follow directions, and guidance from management.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Measured by accuracy of orders (mistakes or unknowns), on time delivery percentage, driver utilization percentage and quality delivery per driver hours paid (Yards/Hour)
What we look for:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience or equivalent.
- Concrete, Aggregate and Building products training, preferred.
- Six months of dispatch, shipping experience, preferred.
- Telephone techniques and personality handling training preferred.
- Proven ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
