The Director of Group Sales (On-Site) is an experienced, senior-level hotel sales role reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing. This role involves managing and leading the sales team and overseeing a market. Typically a commitment of 18–24 months, this position is designed to provide the training and development necessary to progress into a future Director of Sales & Marketing role at Hyatt.
Key responsibilities include mentoring and training the sales staff, recruiting and hiring team members, leading sales meetings, collaborating with catering and convention services, participating in the annual business planning process, and handling forecasting and ownership meetings. Additionally, the role involves managing systems training, report analysis, P&L oversight, and representing the property at travel events and tradeshows. Customer engagement, community involvement, and networking are also essential components. The Director of Group Sales may act as Director in the absence of the Director of Sales & Marketing.
The salary range for this position is $98,000 to $120,000, which reflects what Alila Marea Beach Resort reasonably expects to offer. Individual salary decisions will consider factors such as experience and education.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3-5 years previous sales experience, proficient in general computer knowledge, supervisory experience, and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces and profiling accounts. Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organization skills of utmost importance.
