Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to enhance the operational effectiveness of our fleet. This role demands an expert with a robust background in diesel mechanics, equipped to manage complex system repairs and lead initiatives to improve fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed diagnostics to accurately identify issues and determine necessary repairs in diesel engines and associated systems
- Execute complex repairs on engines, transmissions, differentials, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Implement scheduled and preventive maintenance procedures that align with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices
- Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks
- Manage the complete overhaul and rebuilding of older or severely damaged diesel engines
- Design and oversee the installation of engine modifications and upgrades to enhance efficiency and performance
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all maintenance and repair work, utilizing fleet management software to track and schedule necessary services
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures in the workplace
- Collaborate with fleet managers to analyze operational issues and propose solutions that decrease downtime and reduce costs
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel engine management and repair, attending workshops and obtaining certifications as required

Schedule:
- 8 hours shift 3-11PM
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime as needed

*Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic in a high-volume, demanding environment
*Advanced certification in Diesel Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
*Deep technical expertise in modern diesel engine technology and diagnostic software
*Demonstrated capability in electrical schematics and complex mechanical systems
*Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proven record of troubleshooting under pressure
