SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a reliable, experienced, Custodian/Environmental Service Technician for an upcoming contract to work full time for SJS in New Orleans to help support cleaning operations at a medical healthcare facility.

The pay for this position is $22.13/hr. SJS also offers 56 hours of sick time accrual, medical, dental, vision, 401k, and a variety of additional benefits.

SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Clean and disinfect a variety of hospital facilities including, but not limited to: Outpatient rooms, break rooms, common areas, restrooms, etc.
Using EPA approved hospital grade germicidal detergent, clean all surfaces of sinks, toilet bowls, urinals, lavatories, showers, shower mats, dispensers, plumbing fixtures, saunas, partitions, stalls, stall doors, entry doors, (including handles, kick plates, ventilation grates, metal guards, all stainless-steel appliances and wall areas adjacent to wall mounted lavatories, urinals, and toilets.
Descaling shall be performed every week as a minimum and as often as needed to keep areas free of scale, soap films, and other deposits. After descaling, surfaces shall be free from streaks, stains, scale, scum, urine deposits, and rust stains.
Ensure restrooms are stocked sufficiently throughout the day so that supplies including soaps, paper towels, and toilet paper do not run out.
All floors, except carpeted areas, shall be swept, dust mopped, damp mopped, wet mopped or scrubbed, dry buffed, and spray buffed to ensure they have a uniform, glossy appearance and free from dirt, debris, dust, scuff and heel marks, other stains and discoloration, and other foreign matter.
All floor maintenance solutions shall be removed from baseboards, furniture, trash receptacles, chairs, trash receptacles, and other moveable items shall be moved to maintain floors underneath these items.
Other duties as assigned and may be required to work in other facilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have at least 1 year performing custodian services for a healthcare facility.
Reliable transportation to the work site.
High School Diploma, or GED.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
