Full Job Description
Title: Contracts Analyst Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months Contract Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, or another related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in supply chain and contracts
  • Knowledge or Interest in Contract Management and Supply Chain Management in Oil and Gas industry
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems (i.e. Ariba, SAP, etc.)
  • Competency level based on years of experience in contracting, negotiation and risk management

Day to day:
  • Efficiently respond to SCM and internal client requests
  • Conduct contract analysis and raise concerns / opportunities with Global Contracts team, internal clients and/or SCM personnel
  • Support SCM team on contracting strategies, including Request for Information/Proposals/Bids (RFx events), bid evaluations, supplier / contract negotiations, and post-award contract management for the operations in Cote d'Ivoire
  • Proactively engage internal clients to understand and align contracts to programs & plans
  • Support and address appropriate aspects of the assigned contracts portfolio, ensuring alignment with internal client's requirements, such as annual renewals, contract renegotiations, service level agreements and post-award contract management plans
  • Support negotiations of contractual and commercial terms and conditions, including contract amendments and change orders
  • Understand, adhere and promote compliance with Corporate Supply Chain policy
  • Contributes to building effective solutions based on available information
  • Together with the other members of the Global Contracts team, develop, implement, and maintain an appropriate suite of contract documents to ensure contractual consistency across Murphy, with emphasis in West Africa, and develop annual business objectives for the Global Contracts team
  • Monitor compliance with approved documents, contracts management procedures and recommend corrective actions as required
  • Supports contract management with suppliers in conjunction with broader SCM team
  • Demonstrates and develops understanding of negotiation dynamics and consistently utilizes successful negotiating and influencing behaviors during the performance of the job
