KPMG Lakehouse

Join our team of elite hospitality professionals at the recently built, state of the art, KPMG Lakehouse in Lake Nona. KPMG Lakehouse boasts 800 single king bed sleeping rooms, over 100,000 square feet of multi-purpose meeting space, along with 4 unique food and beverage venues including a 500+ seat three meal venue that features 8 diverse culinary experiences.

Chief Engineer responsibilities include:

· Lead a team of skilled individuals to maintain all engineering components of facility

· Evaluate departmental staffing needs and creatively develop colleague schedules to ensure effective engineering coverage at all times on property

· Work closely with other departmental leaders to address engineering related issues in a quick and efficient manner, and develop and implement systems to proactively identify engineering needs

· Manage preventative maintenance schedule to maintain the appearance and quality of the both the interior and exterior of the facility

· Evaluate staff productivity within department, and identify opportunities to enhance both colleague efficiencies and the guest experience

· Manage systems and procedures to ensure the health and well-being of all guests and team members. Additionally this individual will oversee the facility’s life safety systems and will schedule regular inspections and team member training on these systems

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in facility/building management, preferably in a facility with a multi guestroom design
  • Candidate Must have knowledge of methods, and materials used in general building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, building and electrical units and HVAC as well as strong troubleshooting skills on equipment
  • Refined oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, guests and business partners
  • Established experience as a team leader, with proven ability to strategically install practices to achieve business goals
  • Computer literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
