Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical assisting and be able to support the delivery of exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Duties:
- Provide medical assistance to patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting, including taking vital signs, diagnostic testing and preparing patients for exams.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms, obtaining medical histories, and administering injections.
- Utilize anatomy and physiology knowledge to perform routine medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documenting medical histories and test results.
- Function as a liaison between the medical team and patients, ensuring clear communication and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support the delivery of high-quality patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA).
- Completion of a medical assisting program or associate's degree in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, including the ability to perform routine medical procedures and assist with surgeries.
- Experience working in a Medical office (PCP)
- Ability to take vital signs and input into EMR system.
- Excellent communication, dependable transportation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritize patient care and safety in high-pressure situations.
