MISM is building out a capital markets team to present a unified, holistic view of MSIM to its counterparties. This includes centralizing the fund finance function with the goal of offering more consistent and economically advantageous terms to the business lines. Applicant should have strong relationships with the street primarily in subscription lines including the ability to build a borrowing base against Morgan Stanley wealth management clients. Additionally, the role will require the ability to demonstrate adding value to the COO’s of each business line via partnership model. Applicant will also be expected to embrace internal and third party systems as well as interacting with other key functional groups including firm risk, fund admins, and the office of COO MSIM wide. The private funds of MSIM include private credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and secondaries.
- MSIM Global Capital Markets Team currently has the following domains in scope:
- Public Side: mutual fund / ETF liquidity lines, new issue allocation, and equity research dollars
- Private Side fund finance credit facilities and hedging
- Wallet share tracking

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $250,000 year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
