Job Summary
This position is responsible for designing parts and assemblies and revising existing designs based on information provided from various Engineers. This role is also responsible for designing project-specific templates, as required and utilizing the CAD system to design parts and products from minimal information.Job Description
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use computer assisted design/drafting (SolidWorks CAD) equipment and software to develop 2D and 3D designs.
- Work in a self-directed manner as a member of a product development team.
- Prepare and support preliminary and interim technical design reviews.
- Make final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project including computation of angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and locations.
- Utilize knowledge of various materials, engineering practices, mathematics and other physical sciences to complete drawings and build prototypes.
- Draft detailed multi-view drawings of components.
- Update Drafting and Engineering Standards.
- Set up and maintain an organized file system for drawings
- Work directly with engineers and physicists on project design - providing guidance and support as to overall design.
- Work directly with manufacturing to optimize manufacturability of design.
Education
- Associate's degree or equivalent from technical school
Experience
- 1+ year CAD experience
- Experience with Solidworks/3D modeling software and prototype fabrication Must be skilled in design, 3D design and construction of parts/models and be able to troubleshoot design problems.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and have strong communication skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$62,400.00 - $90,480.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
