Location: Richmond, VA OR Remote
Contract: 12 Months+
Pay rate: 58+/hr

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Big Data/Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing and implementing scalable data processing systems, as well as developing machine learning models to extract insights and drive decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, machine learning algorithms, and a passion for working with large datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and implement robust data pipelines for large-scale data processing.
* Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models to solve real-world problems.
* Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope.
* Optimize existing data systems and workflows for improved performance and scalability.
* Monitor and maintain data quality, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
* Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in big data and machine learning.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

* Python
* SQL
* Spark
* AWS
* database experience (e.g. snowflake)
* React or Angular (minimal knowledge of front end)
