Position Description:
This role will support quarterly benefit audits with vendors, our HRIS team , and Internal Audit teams. Responsibilities include supporting individuals and small groups with health plan options, cost analysis, and tailored solutions. The Benefits Analyst will educate individuals on available products, facilitate coverage comparisons, and assess individual needs. This role will act as a backup for benefit billing and funding processes. This individual will especially focus on cross-functional administrative support for retirement (401K, Pension, SERP, Non-Qualified) and health benefit plans (insurance, FSA, HSA, voluntary benefits).
Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison with internal HRIS team, Vendors, Internal Audit and operating companies’ HRIS teams in performing quarterly Benefit Audits and issue resolution and process improvement
- Provide administrative support for retirement plan processes, including 401K, Pension, Profit Sharing, SERP and Non-Qualified plans
- Provide administrative support for health benefit processes, including insurance, voluntary benefits, spending accounts
- Assist in annual compliance matters
- Audits payroll deductions and deferrals. Conducts targeted audit post-Annual Enrollment to ensure deductions are appropriate.
- Establish and maintain effective and responsive relationships with leaders or management staff to deliver exceptional customer service and support for our small group benefit plans.
- Establish and maintain relationships with service providers to ensure timely and effective service solutions and problem resolution
- Assist in the calculation and administration of both short-term and long-term incentive plans.
- Provide administrative support for ACA 1095 / 5500 processing and filing
- Provide administrative back-up for all Benefit vendor billing and funding
- Provide administrative back-up as Leave Administrator for CC Industries, Inc. Home Office
- Conduct employee 401(k) and pensions orientations and perform benefits administrations function for corporate office employees, including fielding questions regarding 401 (k) and pension claims resolution and eligibility
- Assist with Open Enrollment (i.e., Plan Source testing, OE communication review)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field of study
- 1 to 3 years of experience in health benefits and retirement-related fields
- Intermediate MS Excel ability (Iterative calculations, Nested IF Statements, Named Ranges, Formatting, VLOOKUP / Offset functions, Active X control form, etc.)
- Strong analytical capabilities, including attention to detail, problem solving, relative to working with complex data input / output and calculations
- General financial knowledge (EBITA, EBITDA, Investment bases, Cash Flow, Debt, Interest Payments, and Income / Dividends, etc.)
- Understanding of health benefit plans, insurance exchanges and the health insurance industry
- Understanding of retirement plans, including DC, DB, PS, SERPs and Non-Qualified plans
- Excellent listening and customer service skills
- Very Proficient in use of basic office-oriented computer systems
