Job Summary
This is a full-time athletic training position with the Michigan Medicine MedSport outreach program, that will support our partnership with the United States National Team Development Program for Ice Hockey, based in Plymouth Michigan. Job responsibilities are athletic training services as directed by the team physician, MedSport coordinator of athletic training services and within the practice act for licensed athletic trainers in the State of Michigan.

Responsibilities*
- Injury/illness evaluation, treatments, and rehabilitation of MSK conditions.
- High level communication, injury recording-reporting and decision making.
- Full time travel both within the United States and Internationally.
- Expected to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to safely navigate slippery surfaces, perform deep squatting, kneeling, light running, lifting minimum of 25-50# pounds from the floor to waist height.
- Athletic training duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
- A Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related health field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
- Must be certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association.
- Must obtain license by the State of Michigan within two months of hire.
- Must have current CPR and first aid certification.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
