Associate Director, Pricing & Deal Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage the Account Business Management Team (BMT) and set up recurring BMT meetings covering Pricing, Proposals, Work Orders, Change Orders, Finance, BD, GCSE, Ops, FSP, and EPS as needed.
  • Serve as the internal and external single point-of-contact for coordinating and managing portfolio-level finance, pricing, and contracting process issues and initiatives.
  • Project manage and assist in solutioning for partnership-level BMT process issues and initiatives.
  • Create and maintain BMT action and decision logs.
  • Coordinate BMT executive updates as needed.
  • Upload and maintain Deal Model to Salesforce (SFDC) for each version presented to the client.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce Pricing/Deal record content.

Pre-Award Contracting Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pre-award contracting, including customer calls and business development support.
  • Maintain client contract templates in collaboration with Centralized Operations Management
  • Serve as a signatory for contracts.
  • Provide general account call and reporting support for key customers, both internal and external.
  • Contract escalation support.
  • Act as the contract SME for RFI responses.

Commercial Terms Development:

  • Develop and negotiate commercial terms for transactional opportunities.
  • Gain and file approvals for transactional commercial terms per CBP.
  • Develop, negotiate, contract, and oversee partnership-level commercial terms, including rate cards, volume discounts, and fixed units.
  • Act as the finance SME for translating and understanding commercial terms to be included in MSAs/amendments.
  • Maintain an inventory of managed customer MSAs and finance-related content.
  • Coordinate with Business Finance to ensure completeness of volume discounts/rebates and quality check outputs.
  • Share volume discount/rebate eligibility and client-friendly calculation reports with clients as required.
  • Create and maintain account guidance/documentation for MSA terms and other account financial knowledge.
  • Direct the Rates team to develop and update client-specific rates and rate cards.
  • Lead, coordinate, and negotiate rate renewals and the development of fixed units.
  • Conduct internal MSA training on finance aspects in partnership with Legal and Ops.

Governance and Leadership:

  • Drive MSA financial compliance, including rate card usage and volume agreements.
  • Attend required client governance meetings.
  • Be a member of the Internal Account Leadership Team.
  • Act as the deal SME for RFI responses.
  • Develop approval materials and gain/file approvals for partnership commercial terms per CBP.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S., preferably in business or life sciences
  • 5-7 years of contract negotiation experience for both FSO, FSP services as well as MSAs
  • Strong knowledge of finance, pricing, and contracting processes.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and other relevant software.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
