Job Title: Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk

Location: Sioux Falls, SD 57108 - Onsite Role

Duration: 06 Months (Onsite - Role) - (Extension based on performance)

Pay Rate: $20- $23/hr

Job Description:

• Process return transactions for credit cards, checks, and ACH payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while handling returns.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in return transactions.
• Communicate with relevant internal departments (e.g., customer service, fraud, and compliance) to resolve return issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations and financial product policies impacting returns processing.
• Monitor transaction trends and flag any suspicious or unusual activity for further investigation.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all return transactions.

• High school diploma
• 1-3 years of experience in financial operations, returns processing, or a related role.
• Familiarity with credit card, check, and ACH payment processing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proficient in using financial software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle discrepancies.
