Internship duration and hours: 11 weeks, May 19, 2025 - August 1, 2025
38.75 hours per week, Monday-Friday

This is a "Hybrid" position, which means selected candidates will be assigned to a facility and will spend some time working both, in-office and from their home.

Responsibilities
How you'll spend the summer:
• Hands-on exposure to Underwriting work in Production, Contact Center, and Underwriting Services for both Personal and Business Lines policies.
• Explore behind the scenes to see what makes Underwriting function smoothly. Connect with analysts from Workforce Management, Actuary, and many more areas to learn about their role and see potential career path opportunities after Underwriting.
• Time in the field with our Business Lines Consultants and understand how Underwriting and Agency partner together to grow the business and meet customer needs.
• Get to know Underwriting Executive leadership via virtual engagement sessions and in-person luncheons
• Collaborate with peer interns and business areas to research a key industry trend and develop a recommendation to add or enhance State Farm products and processes. This research will culminate in a Capstone Presentation to Underwriting Executive leadership and your ideas may be implemented!

Qualifications
Additional Criteria:
• Majors: Business, Finance, Risk Management and Insurance, Communication
• Impactful course work: Business; Data Analytics, Research Methodology
• Must be a current rising college senior or entering senior year
• Must be enrolled as college student during summer internship (through August 2025 at minimum)
